A fundraising event for the Metal Bus Driver
Batten down the hatches, hoist the sails, and join aargh krewe for this Pirates of Telluride event hosted annually by the GoHawkeye Foundation. All donations and silent auction moneys will go directly to the targeted goal of buying Telluride local, Brandon Greip, a sit ski.
Galloping Goose bus driver Brandon Greip suffered a life altering spinal cord injury in a 2021 climbing accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Over the years, Brandon has achieved notoriety as the “Metal Bus Driver” for the music he likes to play while driving. Locals and tourist alike love to ride his bus.
“ I’m a person who is not afraid of hard work and dedication, so that I can live the way I want. I live as honorably, honestly, and with as much love as possible towards the people, places, and experiences in my life,” Branden said.
Brandon made a decision when he was twelve years old to live a full and adventurous life which he contrives despite his injury. One of his greatest desires is to have his own custom sit ski and the GoHawkeye Foundation is dedicated to helping him achieve his goal.
